The empty-slot calculator
Enter your monthly bookings, your rates and what each service line collects. It works out your empty slots, what they cost, the first-year floor from a confirmation routine and a waitlist, and the weekly line to read your count against, and it prints each formula from Appendix C. The rates you type are your own figures or your own assumptions, and it says so. It runs in your browser, takes totals only and never asks for a client's name. The Larkspur example loads first and reproduces Appendix B.
Worksheets and records (Appendix A)
Blank versions of the eleven sheets built in the chapters, plus a filled copy of A3 for the book's composite practice. Each one takes counts, rates and totals only; none needs a client's name. Each is a free PDF that prints on US Letter and holds up in black and white, made from the book's own Appendix A so it can't say something the book doesn't. There's no form, no email and nothing to sign up for. Two are in review and not posted yet. A4, the confirmation structure, opens with the texting-consent and privacy checks, and A8, the deposit decision sheet, names the deposit, fee, card-on-file and refund checks, so both wait for the regulatory reviewer, as the rules pages do. Both blanks are in Appendix A of the book.

The two messages (Chapter 5)
Larkspur Aesthetics' old reminder and the confirmation that replaced it, as Chapter 5 prints them. Larkspur is the book's composite practice, so the wording is an example to adapt, not a policy for your practice. Neither message mentions a fee: anything about money waits for the rules check in Chapter 8.
Hi there! Just a friendly reminder about your appointment at Larkspur on Thursday. We can't wait to see you!
Tells the client when, and nothing she can act on.
Hi, it's Larkspur. You're booked with Jess on Thursday afternoon. Reply YES to keep this time, or CHANGE and we'll find you another. We hold this time for you. If you need to change it, please tell us at least 24 hours ahead, so we can offer it to someone who's waiting. When a visit is missed, the time stays empty, and someone else who wanted it goes without.
Names the cost, asks for an answer, leaves room to cancel.
The wording trials Chapter 5 cites, with their setting and year, are on the dated benchmarks page. Before any message goes out, the texting consent and privacy checks come first; they're on the pages listed below.
Dated and planned pages
Anything that changes after printing lives on a dated web page instead of in the book. These are the seven pages the book routes to the web. The calculator and the benchmark page are live. The rest have a page at their address that says what they will carry and who is reviewing them, and nothing more yet. The consent, calling and privacy pages were written for The Inactive Patient List, a Practice Owner Press book for dental offices; this book links to them rather than repeating them, so check each one's scope for confirmations at an aesthetic practice.
The rules pages and the guide need a qualified reviewer. No page about deposits, cancellation or no-show fees, cards on file, refunds, card-network terms, consent, calling and texting rules or privacy will go up until the reviewer named below has read it, and each will carry its review date and reviewer. The book gives no legal advice, and this page doesn't summarise those rules in the meantime.
